The insulating material, which has been developed by Mr. Walter Tasser of Pfalzen in South Tyrol (Italy), is based on the insulating properties of the wool and a natural stabilizer to improve the structural properties of the panel. The physical properties have been improved through combination with a natural alkaline solution (patent pending) to result in a rigid board ready for direct installation as an outer layer of the wall. No fiberglass or dry wall is required. This allows the panel to act as the 'breathing skin' of the wall and improve the comfort of the people living in that room. Wool is known to be able to adsorb moisture and is an efficient humidity control.
Where does the wool come from?
The wool from sheep raised for meat production is often considered waste, as it does not have the proper qualities to be used in for textiles. Sheep’s wool is therefore readily available from sheep raised in the beautiful countryside.
